YOGA For Wellness Course starts Wednesday 26th October at 6.30pm.
This is a 4 week Course.
Perfect introduction for YOU to gain basic knowledge of the foundational poses used in our yoga practice at Gurjinder Yoga.
The practice will be shared in a safe and intelligent way where poses will be modified when and if needed.
You will explore, movement, breath, meditation & stillness.
This practice will begin to help you to connect to your beautiful body, mind & heart.
Week 1 : Working on simple breath awareness (beginners Ujai Breath).
Simple warm up poses syncronizing breath /movement.
Breaking down Sun Salutations.
Week 2 : Sun Salutations and W2 family of poses.
Week 3 :Sun Salutations and W1 family of poses.
Week 4 : Putting it all together!
After this 4 Week Course you will be comfortable enough to attend any of the regular classes on the timetable.
Each class will get a little more challenging as the course progresses.
You will build on your understanding ,knowledge of the practice each week.
The last class of this course will incorporate all that you have learned in a fun but challenging Yoga Sequence.
You will learn safe ways to come in and out of poses.
You will learn basic sun salutations step by step.
You will learn the importance of full yogic breath work and how it supports your practice.
You will be introduced to simple meditation techniques and begin to feel the effect that practicing just a few minutes of meditation can have on your body, mind and heart.
You will learn relaxation techniques as you rest in the final pose at the end of your practice.
You will learn basic standing postures, seated postures, forward folds, gentle backbends, twists and much more!
You will also get to experience restorative poses where you will use props for support and allow your body to relax and recharge.
This is a great intensive 4 week course for you to experience the benefits of this simple yet powerful practice.
